My Version of Georgia

This is my attempt at making artwork like how Georgia O' Keeffe does it. She focuses on one part and makes it bigger and some-what exaggerated. The first time I tried this I did it with a calla-lily but it didn't work out very well so I tried again with a daisy. I wanted it to work out but my artistic ability didn't reach that far. For the most part I think it turned out some-what decent. If I were to redo this project I would research the ideals more and let the paint dry for a longer period of time before I painted the next part. I think that was a big problem I ran into. The colors could have been more defined if I would have let each one dry and then do the next. I chose to do this particular flower because I love love blue and I like daisy's. I feel like the yellow makes the flower stand out a lot more. For this artwork I used all watercolor. I didn't use a lot of water so that the colors would be deeper and darker.
